JAC currently runs Express! an arts infusion program for pregnant and parenting young people who have dropped out of school and
who are pursuing their GEDs. Local poets, actors, artists and filmmakers serve as teaching artists,
supporting the young parents in creating original work.
Under JAC's leadership as Director of Education at the Barrington Stage Company, The Playwright Mentoring Project won The Coming Up Taller!
Award, the nation's highest honor for out of school time arts and humanities programming.
Drumming, movement and performance adaptations of stories by
"Women Who Run With the Wolves," by Clarissa Pinkola Estes
"Moving In, Moving Through", movement workshops for women survivors of sexual violence and trauma
Drumming at the Clothesline at Bread and Puppet Circus
"A Birth In the Kingdom," public reading by JAC Patrissi
Eve Ensler's "The Vagina Monologues"
"The Vagina Monologues performance was rousing, hilarious, and energetic...
The Monologues are also incredibly funny. The simulated orgasms by JAC
Patrissi of East Calais in her renditions of the 'mysterious feminine moans'
kept the audience laughing and laughing--deep belly laughs."
