"JAC's approach to working with a group has transformed my own style of training
and speaking. She knows how to create experiences for participants so that their
learning can occur on several different levels simultaneously, moving far beyond
the lecture approach. I enjoy my work so much more now, and I can feel the difference
in the responses of the people who come to my workshops. JAC's work is simply
outstanding in its clarity, its energy, and its humane message. I advise any
organization that is looking to change, grow, or overcome difficult challenges
to bring her in."
Lundy Bancroft, nationally recognized author and trainer on domestic violence
JAC Patrissi is in the elite category of trainers. She receives stellar evaluations
from other trainers, who are one of the hardest groups to train. Trainers are always
watching content and presentation and JAC delivers on both. She is able to achieve
what every trainer wants to achieve which is to entertain and educate at the same time.
Marie Brodie
North Carolina Coaltion Against Domestic Violence
JAC has worked on numerous Violence Against Women Act training projects under
a wide range of grants including, Grants to Encourage Arrest, STOP, Legal Assitance
to Victims, Office of Juvenile Justice Delinquency Prevention, Rural Domestic Violence,
Elders and and Persons Disabilities, Center for Sex Offender Management. She has designed
and delivered training nationally, statewide and community and systems-based to
criminal justice, social service and advocates providing services to victims of crime.
JAC is herself an unforgettable trainer. Her designs can bring participants
into an experience of learning that respectfully invites their experience and
insight into struggle with the complexities at hand. Expert in her field, she
is above all a facilitator of other’s learning in the tradition of popular
education. Through dialogue and well sequenced learning tasks, participants are
safely and respectfully engaged in a struggle of ideas and practice that produces
measurable change.
But even better, JAC is gifted at bringing out the very best in other
professional speakers and trainers. She has worked with numerous content
experts from the advocacy, medical, mental health, legal and criminal
justice professions. With great clarity, and concise facilitation, she
has supported these professionals in creating training designs that are
accountable to the learner. Employing Dr. Jane Vella’s principles of
Dialogue Education, JAC can help the most seasoned trainer energize the
presentation at hand with the most effective sequence, depth of focus and
creative learning tasks.
